Extract the downloaded zip file, then select the font files (.ttf, .otf, or .fon) and right-click to install. Alternatively, place the files in the Fonts folder (C:\Windows\Fonts or C:\WINNT\Fonts) or use the 'Install a new font' option in the Fonts folder menu.

For Mac OS X 10.3 or above, double-click the font file and click 'Install font.' For older versions, drag the font suitcases into the System folder. Mac OS X recognizes .ttf and .otf files but not .fon files.

Copy the font files (.ttf or .otf) to fonts:// in the File manager, or place them in the hidden .fonts folder in your home directory. Some Linux versions also allow installation via a double-click on the font file.

Recipients can only see fonts installed on their own computer. Avoid using non-standard fonts in emails or messages unless you're sure the recipient has them installed.

Windows can manage about 1000 fonts, but installing too many at once can slow down your system. It's best to keep frequently used fonts in the Fonts folder and store others elsewhere for easy installation when needed.

The fonts are either freeware, shareware, demo versions, or public domain. Check the license mentioned above the download button and the readme files in the archives for details. If no author/license is indicated, it doesn't necessarily mean the font is free.

If a font isn't installed on a visitor's machine, it will default to a standard font like Times New Roman. To use a specific font, create an image (PNG or GIF) or embed the font using the CSS3 @font-face property.

Relaunch the application after installing the font, ensure you've copied the .ttf file (not the zip) to the Fonts folder, and restart your computer if needed.
