Pasta

Pasta cannot paste directly into other apps out of the box due to Mac App Store restrictions. However, you can enable this feature by downloading and installing a helper app from the provided link.

You can customize the number of rows and columns in the Preferences window. Click the wheel icon in the top right corner of the Pasta window, choose Preferences (⌘,), and use the text fields labeled 'Rows' and 'Columns'. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcuts ⌘+ and ⌘- to adjust rows, or ⌘⌥+ and ⌘⌥- to adjust columns.

Pasta obfuscates sensitive clippings on-screen and encrypts them when saved to the hard drive. You can temporarily de-obfuscate passwords by holding the option (⌥) key. If you prefer, you can turn on the 'Ignore passwords' feature in the Preferences window.

To prevent the Pasta window from hiding, click the anchor icon in the top right corner of the window. Clicking it again will allow the window to hide as usual.

With the Pasta window hidden, press the global shortcut (⌘⌥V by default) and hold the modifier keys while pressing the remainder key repeatedly to select a clipping. With the window visible, hold the command key to see shortcuts for the first 9 clippings, or use the arrow keys and Enter to select and paste.

Common shortcuts include ⌘⌥S to toggle the sidebar, ⌘⌥T to center the window, ⌘. to pause/resume Pasta, ⌘P to anchor the window, ⌘+ and ⌘- to adjust rows, ⌘⌥+ and ⌘⌥- to adjust columns, and ⌘0 to go to History. With a clipping selected, use ⌘C, ⌘V, or ⌘X to copy, paste, or cut.
