No, creating an account is not mandatory. However, providing your email in Caroster Basic allows you to access your events from the dashboard and enables additional features. In Caroster Plus, an email is required for secure access and notifications.
Caroster adheres to a privacy policy that safeguards your personal data. Only essential information (name, email, phone number) is collected for managing carpools, and these are used solely for coordinating trips. For details, refer to their Privacy Policy.
The phone number allows passengers to contact the driver to coordinate logistics. In Caroster Plus, phone numbers are only visible to passengers registered for the trip and vice versa.
In Caroster Basic, anyone can modify event details based on a trust principle. For secured access, upgrading to Caroster Plus restricts modifications to designated administrators.
Caroster does not manage cost-sharing between carpoolers. Users handle expenses independently outside the platform.
