Red sentences are considered 'unapproved' or 'unreliable' due to quality issues, copyright problems, or spam. They are excluded from downloads and the homepage's random sentence feature. If you believe a red sentence is valid, you can mention it to @TatoebaAdmins in a comment.

From the Downloads page, you can download all sentences in all languages or in a specific language. You can also download translation links, but this requires some coding knowledge. Alternatively, you can use scripts or tools like Tatoeba Playground to extract the data you need.

Yes, Tatoeba provides an API. For more control, you can download sentences from the Downloads page and build your own API. If you'd like to contribute to evolving the API, you can read the developer contribution article and get in touch with the team.

For textual data, mention that some or all of your sentences are from Tatoeba with a link to https://tatoeba.org and note that the data is released under CC-BY 2.0 FR. For audio data, check the license of each recording and mention the username of the contributor along with their chosen license.
