StartMail
Privacy-first email service alternative to Gmail or Protonmail
About StartMail
StartMail is a privacy-focused email service that gives users a secure, ad-free inbox without tracking or profiling.
Based in the Netherlands, StartMail helps individuals and businesses keep their email communications private while maintaining the flexibility to use email the way they prefer. Users can access StartMail through webmail, the StartMail mobile app for iOS and Android, or their preferred email client via IMAP.
Key features include unlimited email aliases, PGP encryption, password-protected emails, advanced spam and phishing filtering, custom domains, and an ad- and tracking-free experience. Email aliases allow users to create unique addresses for online accounts, newsletters, shopping, and other services without exposing their primary email address. Aliases can be easily managed from a dedicated tab, organized into folders, and deleted at any time if they start receiving spam.
Unlike many mainstream email providers, StartMail does not scan, analyze, or monetize users’ emails or personal data. StartMail is designed for people and businesses looking for a private email alternative without giving up flexibility and everyday usability.
