Only account owners can set up and manage Square Payroll.
You need to have your Square Payroll account already set up before syncing with QuickBooks Online.
Sign in to Square Dashboard, go to Staff > Payroll, select Settings > Intuit QuickBooks Online, click Connect, log in to QuickBooks Online, click Authorize, map categories, and click Save.
Yes, you can edit your category mapping by going to Staff > Payroll, clicking Settings > Intuit QuickBooks Online, clicking Edit, updating the mappings, and clicking Save.
Sign in to Square Dashboard, go to Staff > Payroll, click Settings > Intuit QuickBooks Online, click Edit > Disconnect, and click Confirm.
By default, Square Payroll data is automatically sent to QuickBooks Online, but you can switch to manual sync by disabling the automatic setting.
