SoundSource works behind the scenes to provide volume adjustments for all audio devices connected to your Mac, including those that normally don't offer volume controls. It can adjust the volume of any output device, and the Super Volume Keys feature extends this control to your keyboard's volume keys.
To enable Super Volume Keys, open SoundSource's Settings window, go to the General tab, and enable the Super Volume Keys checkbox. You may need to authorize SoundSource's access to control your Mac using the Accessibility controls in System Settings.
In rare cases, you can use the 'Force software volume control' option in SoundSource. Open the Audio Devices window (Options menu or Cmd-Shift-D), select the output device, and enable the Force software volume control checkbox in the Advanced tab.
The Excluded Applications list in the Audio tab of SoundSource's Settings window disables audio processing for included apps. Apps on this list will play at their own volume level, bypassing SoundSource's adjustments. This can cause mismatched audio levels and is recommended only for troubleshooting.
