Yes, you can encrypt your library with a password if it is stored in a location that is not 100% trustworthy, such as shared directories or a USB stick. Encryption can only be set up or changed when creating a new library or using 'Save a copy as...'. Important: The password cannot be recovered, so store it safely.
Your library must be located in a shared directory accessible from different Macs. After downloading the app on each device, use the same license. Synchronization happens via the library file, which can be placed in shared directories like iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, or a local NAS. For best results with iCloud, mark the library as 'Keep Downloaded' and use the folder format.
Receipts Space supports two storage formats: Package (default, with .receipts-space extension) and Folder. The Package format looks like a single file but contains many folders and files. The Folder format is better for sync services as it only transfers changed files. You can choose the format when creating a library or using 'Save a copy as...'.
If your library is damaged, open it in Receipts Space, then create a copy using 'Save a copy as...'. Deactivate the 'Remove history' option and activate 'Repair mode'. This will skip certain checks and write a functional new library. Changes made to the copy are not transferred back to the original library.
You can manage your subscription via the settings. Here, you can view the current status, manage payments, adjust payment methods, and cancel your subscription. Invoices are available once the first payment has been made after the free 14-day trial period.
Audit compliance supports proper filing of receipts and documents as required in Germany by the GoBD. It protects entries from unwanted changes and logs all modifications, including dates and authors. This feature can be activated in the library settings.
By default, duplicate receipts are not imported again but are marked in the 'Recent imports' view. You can disable this behavior in the library settings. Alternatively, you can manually duplicate an entry using the 'Duplicate' function.
