CPU rendering relies on traditional processor cores and is often preferred for complex, memory-intensive scenes. GPU rendering uses graphics processing units to accelerate rendering calculations, often producing faster results for compatible engines. A professional render farm typically supports both CPU and GPU workflows to match different project requirements.

Render farm cost depends on several factors, including scene complexity, resolution, number of frames, and whether you use CPU or GPU rendering. Ranch Computing uses a transparent pay-as-you-go pricing model based on actual computing usage (GHz for CPU and OBH for GPU). New users receive 30€ in free credits to test the service before committing to larger projects.

A render farm is a network of powerful computers (called render nodes) used to process 3D rendering tasks in parallel. Instead of rendering on a single workstation, frames are distributed across multiple nodes to significantly reduce rendering time. Cloud render farms like Ranch Computing provide remote access to this infrastructure, allowing artists and studios to render complex projects faster without owning hardware.

Files are available for 7 days and deleted after 15 days for security and confidentiality reasons. We can retain the files for a longer period if requested.

The .vux project file is an archive file, simply renamed. You can decompress it and consult its content with an archive manager (7-Zip, winrar etc.). However, please do NOT modify it, unless explicitly requested by the Ranch Computing technical service.

Our IT department will install your software and deliver turnkey servers. Simply submit your request in advance and your installation will be carried out as soon as possible.

Simply notify IT support at least 24 hours before the end of the rental period to extend your rental.
