Placeuse is an online marketplace for booking and listing short-term spaces for any production or events. It connects bookers with studio owners to simplify the booking process.
You can book or list spaces such as recording studios, rehearsal spaces, photography studios, film studios, event spaces, fitness spaces, dance and yoga studios, podcast studios, rooftops, galleries, theatres, off-sites, and co-working/meeting spaces.
First, find a space that fits your needs. Then, send a booking request to the space owner with details about your booking. The space owner will accept or reject your request within several days. Once accepted, you can pay for the booking on the 'Bookings' page.
Navigate to the 'List Your Space' page in the menu tab. Fill in all the information about your space and press 'Save & Continue' to proceed. After completing all steps and pressing 'Save & Finish,' your space will be listed.
Placeuse charges guests a 5% processing fee for each booking. Space owners are charged a 10% commission fee per booking, and PayPal also deducts a fee of 2.9% + $0.30 from the payout.
Payouts are sent to space owners within 24-48 hours after the booker has used the space. Payments are sent via PayPal, so you need to add your PayPal email address on the 'Profile' page.
Placeuse's regular support hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm EST. If you contact them outside these hours, they will respond as soon as possible.
Placeuse is available in New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Houston, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Toronto, and Calgary. You can check the website or email support@placeuse.com for updates on new cities.
