FAQ
You can add Firebase to an existing Google Cloud project using the Firebase console, the Firebase Management REST API endpoint projects.addFirebase, the Firebase CLI command 'firebase projects:addfirebase', or Terraform.
For the Spark pricing plan, the project-creation quota is limited to around 5-10 projects. For the Blaze pricing plan, the quota may increase with the linking of a Cloud Billing account in good standing.
A Firebase project can contain up to 30 Firebase Apps. Exceeding this limit can degrade performance and affect functionality. If you need more, you can request an increase for projects on the Blaze pricing plan.
This could be due to permission issues, missing the 'firebase:enabled' label, or access restrictions. Try accessing the project directly via its URL, check your Google Account permissions, or contact Firebase Support if the issue persists.
Firebase is deeply integrated with Google Cloud. Projects are shared between both platforms, allowing Firebase services and Google Cloud services to be enabled simultaneously. Billing, collaborators, and settings are shared, and you can use Google Cloud's infrastructure directly in your Firebase project.
Tagging a project as 'production' adds a visual reminder in the Firebase console but does not affect functionality. It helps manage project lifecycle and may enable future safeguards for production environments.
The App ID can be found in the Firebase console under Project settings > Your apps. Click on the desired app to view its App ID.
For Google Play, you need Firebase Owner or Admin role and Google Play account Owner or Admin access. For AdMob, you need to be both a Firebase project owner and an AdMob administrator. For BigQuery, you must be the Firebase project owner.
