FAQ
Pure gold is very soft, so it is often mixed with other materials to make it stronger. The numbers refer to the proportion of pure gold in the alloy. For example, 14 carat gold means 585 parts out of 1000 are pure gold. 9 carat gold is slightly lighter in color than 18 carat gold.
We aim to buy as many 'AAA premium' quality gemstones as possible. These gemstones are beautifully cut and have a wonderful fire, making them sparkle beautifully. Our gemstones are generally eye-clean, meaning almost no inclusions are visible. However, emeralds are an exception as they are almost always included.
Yes, all of our jewellery comes with a legal warranty. This means that the product should do what you would reasonably expect of it. Damages caused by yourself are excluded. We also offer a lifetime warranty, which does not affect the legal guarantee.
Each piece of jewellery is handmade by one of our goldsmiths. Your unique piece of jewellery is made with love, carefulness, and passion. Since our webshop shows an infinite collection of beautiful jewellery, it is not possible for us to have all the jewellery in stock.
All our jewellery is made in our own workshop, which saves us costs and time. A piece of jewellery is made only when an order is placed, so we have no expensive stock. By buying directly from the manufacturer, you save on costs, which is also a sustainable solution.
For orders through the DiamondsByMe website, we handle a trial period of 30 days after delivery. Within this time period, you can check the jewellery, fit it, and determine whether you wish to keep it. Custom designed jewellery cannot be returned.
When you buy a ring from us, you can select 'I don't know my size' at the ring size. We will then send you a free ringsizer that you can use to easily take your size. You can also find several apps in the app store to measure your size, although most of them have advertisements.
Our jewellery is sold online. However, our stores present a small collection for inspiration. If you want to see a specific piece of jewellery in one of our stores, we recommend contacting the store to ask if the jewellery is available. We also offer the possibility to print you a piece of jewellery in 3D.
