FAQ
To connect your calendar, go to Availability → Calendar settings in Calendly. Select + Connect calendar account and choose your calendar type (e.g., Google, Outlook/Office 365, or Exchange). Sign in to your calendar account, allow access, select the calendar(s) Calendly should check for conflicts, and choose where new bookings go. Save your settings to complete the connection.
Calendly offers three embed options: inline embed (displays scheduling page directly on your website), pop-up text (opens scheduling page in a pop-up when a link is clicked), and pop-up widget (adds a floating button that opens a pop-up). You can choose the embed type that best fits your website's design.
To set meeting limits, go to your Scheduling page and select the Event Type you want to edit. Under More options, find Limits and buffers, turn on Meeting limits, and choose how many times the Event Type can be booked per day, week, or month. Save your changes to enforce the limits.
To add buffer times, go to the Scheduling page and select the event type you want to edit. Under More options, select Limits and buffers, then + Set buffer time. Add your preferred buffer time before and/or after the meeting and save your changes. This will help prevent back-to-back meetings.
To add Calendly to a WordPress site, first get your embed code by selecting the three dots next to your event type or landing page in Calendly and choosing Add to website. Copy the code, then open your WordPress dashboard, add a Custom HTML block or widget, and paste the code. Publish or update the page to display the scheduler.
If your calendar is not connecting, check the Troubleshoot Tool in Calendly. Open the event type you want to review, select Preview, click Troubleshoot, and choose the date and time that appear unavailable but should be open. Review the list of reasons explaining why the time is not available.
To connect your Google Calendar, go to your Availability page, select the Calendar settings tab, and choose + Connect calendar account. Select Google Calendar, sign in to your Google account, and allow access. Choose which calendars Calendly should check for conflicts and where new meetings should be added.
