Bitminter

Bitminter was a prominent Bitcoin mining pool that contributed roughly 1% of all bitcoins in circulation. Launched in 2011, it provided an accessible entry point for users to participate in Bitcoin mining through user-friendly software. Over nine years of operation, Bitminter mined over 208,000 BTC, including 205,287.5 new bitcoins, and secured 6,487 blocks in the Bitcoin blockchain. The platform evolved alongside the cryptocurrency ecosystem, adapting to changes such as the introduction of ASIC miners and Bitcoin halvings. Bitminter officially shut down in July 2021, leaving a lasting impact on the cryptocurrency community.
