FlipRSS helps supercharge your Mailchimp RSS email campaigns by personalizing content for each subscriber and automating delivery. You can add feeds for each content topic, and subscribers can select which feeds they want to receive. FlipRSS automatically retrieves new content from your feeds and sends each subscriber only the content they care about. Campaigns can be scheduled automatically or sent manually.

To use FlipRSS, you need a Mailchimp account. You can sign up to FlipRSS in seconds using your existing Mailchimp account. This is a secure and convenient option recommended by Mailchimp for integrations and third-party services. Signing in with your Mailchimp account also pre-populates your campaign setup with templates and audiences from your Mailchimp account.

To set up audiences for personalization, select the audience for your campaign from the dropdown in the To panel of your campaign settings. You can create a new audience by clicking New Audience. Lists are refreshed automatically when you log in, but you can manually refresh them by clicking the Refresh button next to the audience dropdown. FlipRSS does not hold your audience members' details; they remain in your Mailchimp account.

To ensure your content looks as expected, you can enable Test Sending in FlipRSS. This allows you to send a single email to the address used by your Mailchimp account. FlipRSS adds this email address to the current audience and tags it with 'fliprsstest.' Click Send Test to send the campaign only to members with this tag, which by default is your email address. You can add the 'fliprsstest' tag to additional subscribers to include them in test sends.

To add RSS feeds to your email campaign, click on the Feeds panel in your FlipRSS campaign and add the URL of the content you want to include. You can add as many feeds as your FlipRSS plan allows. After adding an RSS feed, you can edit its title, specify the maximum number of posts to display, and set the audience group it should be sent to. You can also customize the layout and other settings for each feed.

FlipRSS offers several options for email design and newsletter templates. You can use the basic pre-designed template or create your own. The starter template is pre-configured and ready to be imported into your Mailchimp account. You can also design your own template using Mailchimp's Classic template builder and select 'Code Your Own.' For Mailchimp's drag-and-drop templates, you need to export the HTML, add the FlipRSS mc:edit='fliprss_content' attribute, and then upload it back to Mailchimp.

You can control the layout for individual feeds by setting its Layout Options in FlipRSS. You can choose from Block, Inline, Hero, or Text only layouts. Basic styles for each layout option can be customized using the Customise Block Styles panel, which allows you to adjust font size, line height, padding, font style, and color of all main elements of each feed block.

Audience lists are updated automatically when you log in to FlipRSS. If you need to manually refresh your lists and groups, you can click the Refresh button next to the audience dropdown. This ensures that any changes made in your Mailchimp account are reflected in FlipRSS.
