ESLint provides ongoing support for the current version and six months of limited support for the previous version. After that, the release line moves to End of Life (EOL) and receives no further updates.
ESLint release lines have three statuses: Current (active maintenance and development), Maintenance (critical bug fixes and security issues), and End of Life (EOL) (no further updates).
The v10.x release line is currently supported (Current), and the v9.x release line is in Maintenance mode. All other release lines are EOL.
Commercial support for Current and Maintenance release lines is provided by Tidelift. For EOL release lines, commercial support is provided by HeroDevs.
Tidelift validates that ESLint is up-to-date with the latest security best practices and serves as a first point of contact for any issues.
HeroDevs provides drop-in replacements for older versions of ESLint that are kept up-to-date for security and compliance issues.
